What is wellbeing?
We have identified five key categories of wellbeing in our Lotterywest Healthway Community Investment Framework. More information about our Framework and the outcomes that contribute towards wellbeing can be found here.
Wellbeing is much broader than just your moment-to-moment happiness.
Wellbeing is much broader than just your moment-to-moment happiness. Wellbeing comes from belonging to a connected community, being happy and healthy, living in great environments and being part of a society that is able to grow and develop.
Lotterywest and Healthway exist to help build a better, healthier WA. We do this by addressing the five wellbeing categories: Inclusive thriving community, Connected cultural experiences, Protected sustainable ecosystems, Smart innovative society and Active healthy people.
We keep an eye on indicators to see how WA is tracking in each of the wellbeing categories. These wellbeing indicators help us to identify opportunities for positive change and inform our grantmaking.

Each category has a set of key outcomes that we support through our grant programs across Lotterywest and Healthway. You can see these outcomes by downloading our Community Investment Framework.
